Bellevue Days – Support from The Young Hearts
Old Blue Last, 38 Great Eastern St, London EC2A 3ES
The perfect kick off to our weeks starts over at Old Street where we’re down to see Croydon 4 piece Bellevue Days who sound like the perfect mix of The Xcerts, Manchester Orchestra and Weezer. Support comes from The Young Hearts with their Gaslight Anthem-esque bangers! We can’t wait!
Anna Tosh – Support from Deep City Diver and Wardrop
Servant Jazz Quarters, 10A Bradbury Street, Dalston, London N16 8JN
We’re heading over to Dalston on Shoreditch Tuesday evening to check out Anna Tosh drop her new EP – One Big Fire. The lead single, Weightless is a little cracker reminiscent of PJ Harvey in her pomp. For just a fiver we think think is going to be a top way to beat the Autumn blues.
Tayne – Support from Eve & I, SECNDS, Jehnniel and Sally Caitlin
The Underbelly, 11 Hoxton Square, London N1 6NU
Any fans of NIN should get across to The Underbelly on Wednesday evening. Tayne are headlining with their experimental industrial synth pop bangers. We saw these dudes at The Finsbury last week and are really pumped to check out the two piece again!
Scarlet – Support from Lull and Vertebrae
The Brew House – 369-370 Helmsley Pl, London E8 3SB
Headling the Brew House on Thursday are Liverpool rockers Scarlet but us guys at Form & Filter are most excited about seeing Vertebrae. We saw them slay at the Old Blue Last a couple of months ago and have been itching to see them ever since. They’re punk, they’re rock and the 3 piece play loud. Vertebrae are opening up the evening so get down early.
Roundhouse – Chalk Farm Rd, London NW1 8EH
Slowdive, one of our favourite bands are hitting London to kick off our weekend at the Roundhouse in style! The shoegaze pioneers will be performing tracks from their new self titled album – the first in nearly 22 years! There will be no better place to be on Friday night to check out perfect song craft, we’re so excited for this show!
Prom Queen – Support from Aloha Dead, Tai Chi Tommy, The Lynch Mob and Tiki Irie
The Lexington, 96-98 Pentonville Rd, London N1 9JB
Something a little different in store for our Saturday night over at the Lexington where we’re heading to check out Aloha Dead. It’s kind of poetry, it’s kind of catchy but the duet of deathly lovliness is sure to encapsulate you. Definitely worth checking out and if you’re into 1960s pop, Prom Queen from the USA are closing the evening.
Peach Club – Support from Gaygirl and Hexmaze
The Finsbury, Manor House N4 1BY
Basically, Peach Club are ace. They’re a 4 piece band from Norwich and are in London for one night only on Sunday to promote their new single Bad Bitch. Check out their video, it’s catchy and reminds us of Hole, Nirvana and the rest of that glorious 90s grunge scene. Roll on Sunday!
